Hospice of Santa Cruz County
We were hired to help Hospice of Santa Cruz County to help with their communications and branding. Hospice workers help families and individuals get through difficult times of life—most notably dying. Death is a difficult subject. We were tasked with creating a unified brand strategy and message to help convey the organization’s purpose, as their offerings were expanding beyond hospice.
Communication Strategy
After completing our research and discovery, we helped craft a brand strategy that reflected who they are.
This idea became the touchstone for everything we created.
Caring, for life.
Identity
Through our research, we heard how death, serious illness, and grief were all journeys. We updated their logo to better reflect the notion of this journey being a path to the heart, all contained within the home.
We positioned them as someone to partner with you along that path.
Service Line Naming
To help clarify their service lines, we worked with Hospice to update their names. The biggest change was from Concurrent Care for Children to the more uplifting name “Kid WISE,” which is an acronym for Wellbeing, Integrated Care, Support, and Expertise.
“The team at BrowneMusser were with us every step of the way as we explored changing our name, new branding, and strategic language to help us increase mindshare in our community.
They took time to help us understand and clearly articulate the journey of our patients and families as they need our services. They provided active language that reinforced the beauty of the care we provide during life’s most vulnerable times.
The new logo is a visual representation of the journey of serious illness and amplifies our values and messaging. Logo, strategic manifesto, understanding our audience, building robust SEO, and guidance throughout the journey.
BrowneMusser meets you where you are, takes time to understand what you need, and provides the expertise needed for success. They are brilliant, and caring, and a great investment.”
